Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport celebrates National Tree Day
TAV Tunisie Company, in coordination with the various stakeholders and operators at Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, celebrates today, Tuesday, November 12, the National Tree Day, during which various regions of Tunisia organize tree planting campaigns and awareness activities to highlight the importance of developing the vegetation cover and contributing to enriching the country's forest stock, which this year, 2024, is organized under the slogan "Our forests live by us... Tunisia is green by our hands", in the presence of the Regional Director of forest and the executives and employees of the various stakeholders and operators at Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport.
This celebration comes to confirm the level of importance that TAV Tunisie attaches to the environmental aspect of the areas surrounding its airports, which was distinguished by the launch of the afforestation program for Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport this year by planting 5,000 seedlings of various forest trees and ornamental plants along the main road towards Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport.
It is worth recalling in this context that Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport has obtained this year 2024 the fourth (4) level "transition" from Carbon Accreditation at Airports (ACA) in recognition of its commitment to an effective environmental policy and its efforts in managing carbon dioxide emissions and thus reducing the environmental impact and achieving a better and cleaner life, making it par excellence the "sustainable airport of tomorrow".
