TAV Tunisie promotes Monastir and Enfidha-Hammamet airports locally and globally

Since the inception of its activities in Tunisia and the beginning of its operation in Monastir Habib Bourguiba and Enfidha-Hammamet airports in January 2008 and December 2009 respectively, TAV Tunisie is making sustained efforts to contribute to the promotion of the Tunisian touristic sector particularly by bringing to the forefront the high quality of services it offers to passengers and airlines at both airports which constitute the two main entry points to the country for tourists and regular air passengers alike.

Actions taken by the company towards this end are taken on both local and international levels through the participation in the most important tourism, air transportation and logistics fairs.

The latest in date was MIT tourism fair held in Tunis on 25-28 April 2012 where representatives of the company made fruitful contacts with local and foreign tour operators and airline companies who have strong and proven potentials to attract more tourists to the Tunisian market.

Earlier, TAV Tunisie participated on 7-11 march 2012 to ITB Fair, Berlin, the largest tourism fair globally providing a unique platform for renewing contacts and establishing new links. Similarly, and to help attracting a bigger share of the Russian and CIS countries’ market, which is a relatively new market for the Tunisian tourism sector, TAV Tunisie participated to MITT tourism fair held in Moscow on 21-24 march 2012.

All these activities proved very useful to bring new lines to both Monastir and Enfidha.

Helis, ICS, TUI Russia, are the new starters from the Russian market in addition to existing ones, Biblio Globus, Odeon Coral and Pegas. Corendon Airlines from Holland and ITT from Germany are the new starters in 2012. Sky Airlines and Sun Express, Germany based Turkish airlines are planning to start in 2013.

Tour operator Turtess Travel, a Turkish company based in Ukraine, started its operations from Kiev to NBE airport via 46 flights by their partner airline company Windrose Airlines.
